Labor Force Situation of Tarakan Municipality 2022

The publication of the State of the Labor Force in Tarakan City 2022 contains figures and tables describing the state of the labor force in Tarakan City in 2022. The data presented was collected directly by BPS (primary data) from the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) conducted throughout the territory of the Republic of Indonesia in August 2022. The number of labor force in Tarakan City in 2022 reached 133,582 people, an increase of 7,091 people (5.61 percent) compared to 2021 (126,491 people). The number of working people in 2022 was 125,883 people, a decrease of 5,642 people (4.69 percent) compared to 2021 conditions (120,241 people). The number of open unemployed people in 2022 was 7,699 people, an increase of 1,449 people (23.18 percent) compared to 2021 (6,250 people). And 3.49 percent of unemployment in 2022 is the impact of Covid-19.The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in Tarakan City in 2022 reached 5.76 percent, an increase of 0.82 points compared to TPT in 2021 (4.94 percent). In 2022, Wholesale and Retail Trade, Repair, and Maintenance of Cars and Motorcycles (G) is the sector that absorbs the most labor, amounting to 19.80 percent (24,920 people).
