Labor Force Situation of Tarakan Municipality 2021

The publication of the State of the Work Force of Tarakan City 2021 contains pictures and tables that describe the state of the labor force in the City of Tarakan in 2021. The data presented is collected directly by BPS (primary data) from the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) which was carried out throughout the territory of the Republic of Indonesia in August 2021. The total workforce in Tarakan City in 2021 will reach 126,491 people, a decrease of 1,827 people (1.42 percent) compared to 2020 (128,318 people). The number of people working in 2021 is 120,241 people, a decrease of 563 people (0.47 percent) compared to the conditions in 2020 (20,804 people). The number of open unemployment in 2021 is 6,250 people, a decrease of 1,264 people (116.82 percent) compared to 2020 (7,514 people). And 19.39 percent of unemployment in 2021 is the impact of Covid-19. The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in Tarakan City in 2021 reached 4.94 percent, a decrease of 0.92 points compared to the TPT in 2020 (5.86 percent). In 2021 Wholesale and Retail Trade, Repair, and Maintenance of Cars and Motorcycles (G) is the sector that absorbs the most labor, which is 20.37 percent (24,498 people).
