Labor Force Situation of Tarakan Municipality 2018

Publication of the Circumstances of the Tarakan Municipality Work Force 2018 contains images and tables that illustrate the state of the workforce in Tarakan Municipality in 2018. The data presented is collected directly by BPS (primary data) from the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) carried out throughout the Republic of Indonesia in August 2018.The number of workforce in Tarakan Municipality in 2018 reached 116,959 people, a decrease of 2,210 (1.85 percent) compared to 2017. The number of people working in 2018 was 110,012 people, a decrease of 2,496 (2.22 percent) compared to conditions in 2017 The number of open unemployment in 2018 was 6,947 people, an increase of 286 people (4.29 percent) compared to 2017. The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in Tarakan Municipality in 2018 reached 5.94 percent, an increase of 0.35 points compared to TPT in 2017. Trade, Retail, Restaurants and Hotels are the sectors that absorb the most labor force by absorbing 39,478 people (35.89 percent), while the Professional, Scientific, Technical, Administrative and Other Support Services sectors are at least absorb labor, which only absorbs 832 people (0.76 percent) workers.
