Abstract

In December 2024, Tarakan City's year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation will be 1.60 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 104.98.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 2.98 percent; clothing and footwear group at 0.32 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.12 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 1.15 percent; health group by 1.40 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.15 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.19 percent; education group at 0.48 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 0.45 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 6.76 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group that experienced a decline in the index was the transportation group by 0.21 percent.

The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Tarakan City in December 2024 are 0.39 percent and 1.60 percent respectively.
