Abstract

The economy of Tarakan City in the third quarter of 2024 as measured based on the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) on the basis of prevailing prices reached Rp 14.18 trillion and on the basis of constant prices in 2010 reached Rp 6.83 trillion.

The economy of Tarakan City in the third quarter of 2024 compared to the third quarter of 2023 experienced a growth of 5.79 percent (y-on-y). In terms of production, the highest growth occurred in the Tertiary Sector at 7.47 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth was achieved by the Household Final Consumption (PK-RT) component of 6.32 percent.
Spatially, the economic structure of North Kalimantan Province in the third quarter of 2024 is dominated by Tarakan City at 37.35 percent and the smallest is Tana Tidung Regency at 5.99 percent. In the same quarter, the economic performance of North Kalimantan Province was recorded to have a growth of 4.29 percent (y-on-y).
