Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).

NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchangeability (terms of trade) of agricultural products for goods and services consumed and for production costs.

The NTP of North Kalimantan Province in August 2023 was 111.13, an increase of 0.07 percent compared to the NTP in July 2023. The increase in NTP was due to changes in the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) which rose faster than the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib).

NTP per subsector of North Kalimantan Province in August 2023, namely the Food Crop Farmer Exchange Rate (NTPP) of 97.26; Horticulture Farmer Exchange Rate (NTPH) was 101.38; People's Plantation Plantation Farmer Exchange Rate (NTPR) is 169.50; Livestock Farmer Exchange Rate (NTPT) is 107.50; and the Exchange Rate for Fishermen and Fish Cultivators (NTNP) was 102.33.

The Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) for North Kalimantan Province in August 2023 was 112.93 or an increase of 0.14 percent compared to the previous month's NTUP.

In August 2023 there was an increase in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in North Kalimantan by 0.26 percent with the highest increase occurring in the Transportation group by 0.74 percent.
