Abstract

The economy of Tarakan City in the first quarter of 2023 measured based on Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) on the basis of current prices reached Rp 12.46 trillion and on the basis of constant prices in 2010 reached Rp 6.20 trillion.
The economy of Tarakan City in the first quarter of 2023 (y-on-y) grew by 6.36 percent compared to the same period the previous year. In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Financial Services and Insurance business field of 13.10 percent.
The economy of Tarakan City in the first quarter of 2023 compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q) experienced a contraction of 1.30 percent. In terms of production, the deepest growth contraction occurred in the Government Administration business field of 14.35 percent.
Spatially, North Kalimantan's economy in the first quarter of 2023 grew by 5.23 percent. Tarakan City grew the highest at 6.36 percent; followed by Malinau Regency at 5.91; Bulungan Regency by 4.39 percent; Nunukan Regency at 4.18 percent; and Tana Tidung Regency at 3.76 percent.
In North Kalimantan, the economic contribution is still dominated by Tarakan City at 33.99 percent and the lowest Tana Tidung Regency at 5.84 percent.
