Abstract

In April 2023, Tarakan City experienced year-on-year (yoy) inflation of 3.70 percent. The highest yoy inflation occurred in Kotabaru City at 6.75 percent with a CPI of 121.12 and the lowest occurred in Pangkal Pinang City at 2.78 percent with a CPI of 114.15.
Tarakan City in April 2023 experienced month-to-month (mtm) inflation of 0.58 percent and year-to-date (ytd) inflation of 1.27 percent.
Inflation in Tarakan City in April 2023 occurred due to price increases indicated by the increase in several expenditure group indexes, namely: transportation group by 3.12 percent; personal care and other services group at 0.52 percent; food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.28 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.15 percent; food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 0.14 percent; and the clothing and footwear group by 0.03 percent. While the output group that experienced a decrease in the index was: the health group by 0.01 percent. Meanwhile, expenditure groups that did not experience changes in the index were: housing, water, electricity, and household fuel; information, communication, and financial services groups; leisure, sports and cultural groups; and educational groups.
