Abstract

  • Of the 90 cities monitored by the national CPI, in December 2022. The highest year on year (yoy) inflation was Kotabaru City at 8.65 percent, Bau-Bau City at 8.35 percent and Tanjung Selor City at 7.98 percent. Meanwhile, cities with the lowest inflation were Sorong City at 3.26 percent, Ternate City at 3.37 percent and Waingapu City at 3.54 percent.
  • The combined prices of goods/services for the City of Tarakan and the City of Tanjung Selor in December 2022 experienced Year on year (yoy) inflation of 4.74 percent with monthly inflation (mtm) of 0.50 percent. Tanjung Selor City experienced Year on year (yoy) inflation of 7.98 percent with monthly inflation (mtm) of 0.19 percent. The city of Tarakan experienced year on year (yoy) inflation of 3.93 percent with monthly inflation (mtm) of 0.59 percent.
  • The combined annual inflation (yoy) for Tarakan City and Tanjung Selor City was influenced by the transportation group by 15.74 percent, the personal care and other services group by 8.19 percent, the equipment, equipment and routine household maintenance group by 7.31 percent, the food, beverages and tobacco by 3.25 percent, the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 2.73 percent, the food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 2.57 percent, the health group by 1.55 percent, the clothing and footwear group by 0.64 percent, the education group by 0.63 percent, the recreation, sports and culture group by 0.44 percent and the information, communication and financial services group by 0.41 percent.
