Abstract

Tarakan City's economy based on Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) based on current prices in the second quarter of 2022 reached Rp 11.32 trillion and based on constant 2010 prices reached Rp 5.97 trillion.
The economy of Tarakan City in the second quarter of 2022 compared to the first quarter of 2022 grew by 2.51 percent (q-to-q). Growth was driven by almost all business fields, where the highest growth was achieved by the Government Administration, Defense and Mandatory Social Security business fields of 11.05 percent.
Tarakan City's economy in the second quarter of 2022 compared to the second quarter of 2021 grew by 4.92 percent (y-on-y). Growth was driven by almost all business fields, of which the highest growth was achieved by the Provision of Accommodation and Food and Drink at 11.77 percent.
The economy of Tarakan City in semester I-2022 compared to semester I-2021 grew by 4.79 percent (c-to-c). Growth was driven by almost all business fields, of which the highest growth was achieved by the Provision of Accommodation and Food and Drink at 11.63 percent.
Spatially, the economy of North Kalimantan in the second quarter of 2022 grew by 4.91 percent (y-on-y). Tarakan City grew the highest at 4.92 percent; followed by Nunukan Regency at 4.83 percent; Bulungan Regency by 4.70 percent; Malinau Regency by 4.51 percent; and lastly, Tana Tidung Regency by 4.45 percent.
In North Kalimantan, the economic contribution is still dominated by Tarakan City at 37.90 percent and the lowest is Tana Tidung Regency at 6.00 percent.
