Abstract

Tarakan City's economy in the first quarter of 2022 based on Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) at current prices reached Rp 10.90 trillion and at constant 2010 prices reached Rp 5.83 trillion.
The economy of Tarakan City in the first quarter of 2022 compared to the fourth quarter of 2021 experienced a growth contraction of 1.43 percent (q-to-q). From the production side, the deepest growth contraction occurred in the Government Administration, Defense and Mandatory Social Security business fields of 11.09 percent.
The economy of Tarakan City in the first quarter of 2022 compared to the first quarter of 2021 experienced a growth of 4.73 percent (y-on-y). In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Transportation and Warehousing business sector of 11.78 percent.
Spatially, the economy of North Kalimantan in the first quarter of 2022 grew by 4.53 percent (y-on-y). Malinau Regency grew the highest at 4.98 percent; followed by Nunukan Regency at 4.88 percent; Bulungan Regency by 4.78 percent; Tarakan City by 4.73 percent; and lastly, Tana Tidung Regency by 4.52 percent.
In North Kalimantan, Tarakan City's economic contribution is still dominated by 38.12 percent and the lowest is Tana Tidung Regency at 5.96 percent.
