Tarakan Municipality World Food Day Commemoration

Tarakan – The Head of BPS-Statistics Tarakan Municipality, Mr. Umar Riyadi, attended the 44th World Food Day commemoration at the Tarakan Mayor's Office grounds on Tuesday (11/12). With the theme *"Right Foods, For a Better Life and a Better Future"* (Hak Atas Pangan Untuk Kehidupan dan Masa Depan Yang Lebih Baik), the event saw Acting Mayor of Tarakan, Dr. Bustan, S.E., M.Si., urging the public to collectively support the fulfillment of the right to quality and sustainable food.

The event also featured the Cheap Food Movement (GPM), aimed at maintaining price stability and food supply availability in Tarakan. This commemoration is expected to serve as a momentum for both the government and the public to strengthen food security and build a sustainable food system, working toward a better life and a prosperous future for all.
