Fun Talks BPS and KPPN

Monday, September 26, 2022, BPS Tarakan City was invited to the Whispering activity "Having Fun Talks" organized by the Tarakan State Treasury Service Office (KPPN) with the theme "APBN AS A DRIVER OF THE TARAKAN CITY ECONOMY".

This activity was guided by Anindya K as MC, Dika Taranita (Young Expert Statistisi of BPS Tarakan City) and Yuni Yunarlis (Head of Budget Verification and Internal Compliance) as speakers, and Joko Santoso (Head of KPPN Tarakan City) as the keynote speech, and attended by students from the University of Borneo Tarakan (UBT).

The Head of KPPN Tarakan, Joko Santoso, said that the purpose of this activity was for participants to know financial management, especially in Tarakan City and the impact of the state budget in Tarakan City. Dika Taranita and Yuni Yunarlis explained the meaning of the State Budget (APBN) and Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) as indicators of economic growth. In his explanation, it was stated that the state budget affects economic growth, one of which is when employee spending is distributed, which further encourages an increase in public expenditure which affects the GRDP business field.

Participants were very enthusiastic in participating in this series of activities as evidenced by several questions asked to the speakers. At the end of the activity, a light quiz was held to review the material presented. There was a door prize presentation for the three best participants in doing the quiz.
